The Peninsula Bangkok has added a new family travel program to the hotel and is offering a 50% discount on adjoining rooms, complimentary dining, child-friendly activities and insider guides, making your family vacation an adventure to remember. From January 1st to December 20th 2014, Family Moments offers 50% off the cost of an adjoining room for children under 12 years old. They will also enjoy free dining from the kids’ menu or buffet plus a range of amenities and programmes tailored just for junior guests, including The Peninsula Kids Academy’s collection of cultural and fun activities.

The 2014 Chicago Auto Show revealed the Winnebago Touring Coach Travato

In travel news today, the Chicago Auto Show February 8-17, 2014 this year revealed the Winnebago Touring Coach Travato, by Winnebago Industries, Inc. who is a prominent United States recreation vehicle maker. One of the newest Class B recreation vehicles Travato has joined the Winnebago Touring Coach. The Travato is responsive at 20’ long and offers a full RV capability that is flawless for the traveler who enjoys driving to destinations. 

Built on the Ram ProMaster chassis, the Travato is value-priced with expected fuel efficiency of 16-18 mpg. The Travato also has revolving cab seats, LED ceiling lights, touch-screen navigation, a split dinette, and an abundance of features, the RV delivers a whole new Class B value, style and travel destination living.

One of my favorite citys in the world has opened yet another great hotel. Situated in the heart of Istanbul, Yoo2 Taksim Square Hotel is within walking distance of Taksim Gezi Park and Taksim Square. Also nearby are Dolmabahce Palace and Galata Tower.

Hotel Features. 
Dining options at this Istanbul hotel include a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas. Business amenities include small meeting rooms andaudiovisual equipment. The staff can provide concierge services and tour/ticket assistance. Cold weather cancels thousands of flights

NBC News reports, "The freeze is back. It was just earlier this month when a weeklong, nationwide arctic smothering led to 27,779 canceled flights out of 243,842 scheduled departures, according to flight tracking site FlightView.

Now a new storm is descending, dumping snow on the Northeast and leaving much of the states in a frozen grip that won't lift until next Monday. That spells trouble for travelers. Here’s what to watch out for, whether you’re going by plane, train, or automobile." Read more

The New Hilton Hotel & Resorts Toiletries from Peter Thomas Roth

Early yesterday morning, hospitality industry peeps gathered at Hilton New York Fashion District on the 23rd-floor Rare View rooftop bar. The impromptu catered event was organized to showcase a line of new bathroom toiletries, designed specifically for Hilton Hotels & Resorts—the company's flagship brand—by Peter Thomas Roth. We were glad to be there, because if there's one thing we like better than a free breakfast, it's toiletries!

 Currently circulating throughout 300 of the Hilton Hotels & Resorts, the "Mega-Rich" collection comprises shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, micro-bead body wash, facial bar, and massaging bath bar. Of the entire set, the ridged massage bar seemed like a winner to us. But the real test will take place, of course, in the shower.

Latest TripAdvisor Holiday Travel Survey

TripAdvisor, the world’s most popular and largest travel community, today announced the results of its December holiday travel survey of more than 1,200 travelers. Despite the economy, the number of Americans traveling for the holidays has increased slightly in each of the last three years: 45 percent of Americans are planning to travel for the December holidays this year, up from 42 percent one year ago and 39 percent in 2007. New York and Los Angeles are the top two major U.S. cities travelers plan to visit during the holidays, according to the survey. Since September, these destinations have seen an approximately 100 percent increase in flights search activity on TripAdvisor. Honolulu and Las Vegas are the cities people wish they were visiting this holiday season. These “dream” destinations saw an approximately 50 percent increase in flights search since September.
