Great news for fans of Cunard's the Queen Mary 2:
The luxury ocean liner will sail its first trans-Atlantic crossings next year between New York and Cherbourg, France.
This 7-day trips will leave July 8 going east and July 15 going west and are part of an expanded schedule of trans-Atlantic crossings announced today for 2008. The Queen Mary 2 also will make four crossings between New York and Hamburg, Germany this was last offered in 2006 and will also include 24 crossings on the line's usual route between New York and Southampton, England.

Also in 2006 look for sailings in the Caribbean and in the Mediterranean. This will open for sale to past Cunard customers on April 1 and to the general public on April 2.
